Star Trek may be released next week but J.J Abrams has revealed that he currently has no script for a sequel.
The movie is the eleventh film in the Trek franchise and Abrams has taken the story right back to the beginning with the first voyage of the Enterprise and it's young crew.
Speaking at the UK press conference the filmmaker said: "Nothing would be more fun than working with [the cast] again, but it's insanely presumptuous to be talking about it.
"The good news is that if people like it and if there's demand for another one, then the actors and the writers and I will be back."
"But we don't have a story, we don't have a script, we don't have an outline or a thought. We just have this movie."
Abrams has brought together a fairly unknown cast of Zachary Qunito, Chris Pine and Zoe Saldana to reboot the franchise as well as adding the well known names of Eric Bana and Chris Pine.
Star Trek is released 8th May
