Star Trek got it's British premiere last night as thousands of fans descended on London's Leicester Square to catch a glimpse of the cast.
Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto, who have taken over the iconic role of Captain Kirk and Spock were joined on the blue carpet by co-stars Eric Bana and Simon Pegg.
Speaking at the premiere Pegg said: "For me, tonight is very special. It's the Empire Leicester Square. I saw films here as a child... it's a geek dream come true."
This is the eleventh movie in the longstanding and popular science fiction franchise this time going back to the beginning to look at the early days of the starship Enterprise and her young crew.
The film is directed by J.J Abrams, the man behind television series Lost and last year's Cloverfield.
The film received it's world premiere last week in Sydney as a 1500 strong crowd turned out at the concert hall in Sydney to catch a first glimpse of the movie.
Star Trek is released 8th May
