The stars of Star Trek turned out yesterday for the world premiere of the movie at the Sydney Opera House.
Eric Bana, Zachary Quinto, Chris Pine and filmmaker J J Abrams were just some of the film's stars that joined the 1500 strong crown who had filed the concert hall in Sydney, a month before the movie is released in Australia.
The premiere comes just days after superfans in Austin, Texas were treated to a surprise sneak of the thirteenth Star Trek movie while they were watching The Wrath of Khan.
Veteran Leonard Nimoy and producer Damon Lindelhof came up with the idea of the Wrath of Khan hoax in a bid to created Internet interest in the upcoming blockbuster.
This time around there is a distinctly youthful feel to the Enterprise crew as Abrams takes the franchise back to the beginning with an early voyage for the Enterprise and it's crew.
