J.J. Abrams has revealed that the second Star Trek movie will be in 3D.
It was back in 2009 when Abrams rebooted the Star trek franchise bringing on a whole host of young actors to start the story from the very beginning.
There has been talk of a sequel since the success of the first movie was released and it looks like 2013 is the year when the franchise will return.
Speaking to Playlist the actor said: "I have nothing against 3D in theory. But I've also never run to the movies because something's in 3D.
"[As for Trek], as soon as I read the script, if it says, 'Somebody pushes a weapon toward the camera in a menacing way,' and we think, 'That'd be better in 3D!' I dunno."
We saw Abrams back in the director's chair this summer when he helmed sci-fi movie Super 8.
