Simon Pegg is expected to play a mass murderer in a new movie.
The 'Shaun of the Dead' star has reportedly signed up to star in 'Burke and Hare', a black comedy based on the true story of Irish immigrants William Burke and William Hare who sold the corpses of their 17 murder victims to the Edinburgh Medical College for dissection in 1827 and 1828.
'An American Werewolf in London' filmmaker John Landis will direct the movie.
The story of the two killers has previously been showcased in 'The Flesh and the Fiends' with Peter Cushing and Donald Pleasance, 'The Anatomist' with Alistair Sim, and 'The Doctor and the Devils' which starred Timothy Dalton.
It is unknown whether Simon's comedy partner Nick Frost will also appear in the movie, while it has also been suggested that the 'How To Lose Friends and Alienate People' star will play Dr. Robert Knox - who bought many of the duo's corpses - rather than either of the killers.
