It seems that the cast list for the new Star Trek movie is growing nicely as Simon Pegg and John Cho have reportedly signed up.Pegg has landed the role of Scotty and Cho the role of Sulu and join Anton Yelchin, who will play Chekov, Zachary Quinto (Heroes' Sylar) as a young Spock and Pirates of the Caribbean actress Zoe Saldana as Uhura.This comes just days after the announcement that Hulk actor Eric Bana was also set to go where no man has gone before as he was signed up to play villain Nero.The project, which is being directed by J.J. Abrams, has had no confirmation of who will play Captain Kirk but the names Mike Vogel (Poseidon and Texas Chainsaw Massacre) and Chris Pine (Just My Luck and Smokin' Aces) have been circulating the media.J.J Abrams is the mind behind show Alias and actress Jennifer Garner was rumoured to be in talks for a role. Also Matt Damon was linked to the role of Captain Kirk but was deemed too old for the part.The new Star Trek film will follow in the footsteps of Batman Begins and Casino Royale by going back to the beginning of the franchise to look at the origins of the crew of the Enterprise.Helen Earnshaw
