Simon Pegg has revealed that the script for the second Star Trek movie.
Star Trek, which was directed by J.J. Abrams, was a critical and commercial success when it was released last year and a sequel has long since been in the pipeline.
Pegg took on the role of Montgomery Scott in the film, which was a re-boot of the popular franchise, and while he doesn't know about the story the penning of the script is well underway.
Speaking to MSN movies Pegg said: "It's been written now, I don't know what the story is, it's not 'til next year."
He went on: "They are busy hashing out the story and they're excited about it. Damian Lindeloff had to finish Lost, and now they're at it.
"He has said that they're hoping to carry on the relationship between the crew and if they have the adversary."
Pegg can currently be seen on the big screen as he stars in Burke and Hare alongside Andy Serkis and Isla Fisher.
He has already completed work on Paul and The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn and he is currently filming Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol.
