Simon Pegg has admitted that Steven Spielberg pretended to beat him up on the set of The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn.
The British actor who stars alongside Jamie Bell, Daniel Craig and Andy Serkis in the Spielberg directed movie revealed that he found to take the director's demonstration to Serkis seriously.
Speaking to Movie Con he said: "The best moment was one day where he was describing to Andy Serkis how Captain Haddock should beat me up and I was lying on the floor with him holding me by the lapels shaking me, hitting me against the floor.
"And I was just laughing because it was f***ing Steven Spielberg!"
The Adventures of Tintin is just the latest blockbuster movie for Pegg after the success of Star Trek.
And the actor had nothing but praise for Spielberg "He's extraordinary. You know within five minutes of working with him why he is where he is.
"He has this amazing innate... it just comes off him like a big aura. As a fan it was extraordinary to work with him."
The Adventures of Tintin: The Secret of the Unicorn will be released in 2011.
