Despite not having left the cinema year DreamWorks Animation plan to capitalise further on the success of Shrek by announcing a fourth movie.DreamWorks are earmarking May 10, 2010 for the realese of the next movie with also plans for a fifth.Shrek was released in 2001 with the voices of Mike Myers, Cameron Diaz and Eddie Murphy. It went on to become the first film to win an Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, a category which was inroduced at the 2001 ceremony.DreamWorks were soon planning a sequel in May 2004 they released Shrek 2. After the success of the first movie stars flocked to lend their voices to the film including Julie Andrew, Antonio Banderas, John Cleese and Rupert Everett.The movie went on to gross a massive $920,665,658 at the worldwide box office.DreamWorks completed the triology this summer with Shrek the Third which was met with lukewarm reviews from the critics.This time around the boys at DreamWorks had $160 million budget to play with compared to the $60 million they had first time round.So far, at the worldwide box office, the film has grossed $718.7 million and boasted more celebrity names including Justin Timberlake, Ian McShane and Eric Idle.
