Shiloh Fernandez has revealed that he was disappointed to lose out on the role of Edward Cullen in the twilight Saga.
Catherine Hardwicke had the actor in mind to take on the role of the vampire in the series - but he lost out on the role of Robert Pattinson.
And while he was disappointed the actor has got to work with the filmmaker after all as he stars in her new movie Red Riding Hood.
Speaking to Digital Spy the actor said: "I think at the time of course you're disappointed. It's a fantastic role, to miss out on the opportunity to work with Catherine was really the disappointing thing.
"Luckily she kept me in mind [for Red Riding Hood]. I think this was a better fit for me to work with her. I'm just grateful for that."
Fernandez takes on the role of Peter in Hardwicke's re-imagining of the popular tale - which also stars Amanda Seyfried, Gary Oldman and Julie Christie.
Red Riding Hood is released 15th April.
