Shane Black reveals that Jon Favreau has given him some great advice as he has taken over the Iron Man franchise.
Black will direct the third movie in the Iron Man franchise as he reunite with Robert Downey Jr for the first time since Kiss Kiss Bang Bang.
And while Favreau may not be in the director's chair he will reprise the role of Happy in the film and was on had to help Black.
Speaking to Total Film the director said: "Jon was available to give me all kinds of advice, and Marvel has such an effective special effects machine that they could hold my hand and keep me free to concentrate on story and character and scale.
"You have to find a way to make sure that the story that’s emerging is still ongoing and, by the time you’re finished, will be something resembling the culmination of a trilogy. I think we’re getting there"
Iron Man 3 is the first film for Black since he made his directorial debut back in 2005 with comedy Kiss Kiss Bang Bang - he has also worked on the screenplay for the movie.
Iron Man 3 will see Robert Downey Jr return to the role of Tony Stark while Gwyneth Paltrow and Don Cheadle will also be returning.
But there are some new faces on the cast list in the form of Guy Pearce, Rebecca Hall and Ben Kingsley.
Iron Man 3 is released 26th April 2013.
