Sex and the City 2 has topped the UK box office, ending StreetDance 3D's one week at the top.
Despite poor reviews from the critics fans have flocked to see Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Mirnada return to the big screen, two years after they fou8nd success with their debut movie.

Grossing £6.1 million over the weekend it's the third biggest opening in the UK behind Alice In Wonderland and Iron Man 2.
However Sex and the City 2 has not enjoyed the same success in America where it failed to topple Shrek Forever After from the top of the box office.
StreetDance 3D moved down just a single place to two, while there were also one place drops for Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time and Robin Hood who finished the week at three and four.
Tooth Fairy, the latest family movie from Dwayne Johnson, was the second new entry on this week's chart as it opened at number five.
It was a two play drop for Iron Man 2 as it fell from four to six, the movie has now grossed over $555 million at the global box office.
Space Chimps 2 3D was another new entry at seven, swiftly followed by a fourth as The Losers opened at eight.
Bad Lieutenant held onto ninth while Four Lions was this week's biggest faller as it dropped four places from six to ten.
