Sean Penn has been cast in The Prone Gunman.
The movie is a big screen adaptation of the novel by Jean-Patrick Manchette but the project is yet to name a director.
Joel Silver and Andrew Rona are on board to produce the movie which follows a hired killer who is forced back into the life that he tried to leave behind.
As for Penn as are going to be seeing him back on the big screen in the new year in Gangster Squad.
The double Oscar winner is part of a fantastic ensemble cast that includes Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone and Josh Brolin.
The movie is directed by Ruben Fleischer and is an adaptation of the novel by Paul Lieberman.
Shooting on The Prone Gunman is expected to begin next year.
