Scarlett Johansson has admitted that she would love to appear in a big screen musical.
In an interview with Spinner the actress said: When I was a kid, I started acting because I wanted to be in movie musicals and on Broadway.
"I took a lot of vocal lessons and I thought I was going to be Judy Garland or something.
"It's always been my dream to do a movie musical. I always wanted to sing on camera."
The big screen musical has been a major box office success in recent years with the likes of Chicago, Hairspray and Mamma Mia all being huge hits.
2009 has been a mixed year for the actress with the disappointing The Spirit at the beginning of the year she returned with Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
He's Just Not That Into You was her last appearance on the big screen this year, despite poor reviews it still topped the box office.
She is currently working on Iron Man 2, in which she plays Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow and it's due out next summer.
