Scarlett Johansson is rumoured to be in talks to play the Black Widow in Iron Man 2 despite Emily Blunt being linked to the project.
Blunt was the frontrunner, and supposedly Jon Favreau's favourite, for the role of Russian spy Natasha Romanoff in the follow-up of the 2008 blockbuster.
The character transforms into comic book siren the Black Widow; an evil nemesis of Tony Stark, played by Robert Downey, Jr.
However she now faces a scheduling conflict with Gulliever's Travels under the terms of a deal that she has with Fox.
But the actresses agents are said to be trying to fight out a deal that would avoid a scheduling conflict allowing Blunt to appear in both projects.
Several actresses are now in talks for the park with Eliza Dushku, Buffy the Vampire Slayer star, also expressing an interest.
Robert Downey Jr and Gwyneth Paltrow are returning to their roles of Tony Stark and Pepper Potts while Sam Rockwell and Mickey Rourke have been linked to roles in the new movie.
