Scarlett Johansson believes that you need courage to have a career in the film industry.
The actress is back on the big screen this week in new movie We Bought A Zoo, which sees her team up with Matt Damon.
But the actress says that it was that tiny big of courage as a child that has got her to where she is today.
Speaking to Stylist the actress said: "When I was a child, I auditioned fearlessly and had a lot of courage, and the fact that I am here today is probably testament to my 20 seconds of courage back then.
"I think in the film industry, you have to have that courage.
"Actors are asked to do things that are out of their comfort zone all the time, whether that's hanging on the side of a building or crawling through the woods, or revealing yourself emotionally.
"You find yourself thinking, 'What am I doing? This is crazy! Oh, the camera is rolling? Oh god, I'm just going to have to wing it'."
And it is set to be a busy summer for the actress as she will also join the all star cast of Avengers Assemble.
Directed by Joss Whedon the movie sees Johansson reprise the role of Black Widow, who we saw for the first time in Iron Man 2.
We Bought A Zoo is released 16th March.
