Sarah Jessica Parker believes that New York is the perfect setting for Sex and the City.
The actress is back in the role of Carrie Bradshaw in the latest movie Sex and the City 2 and while most of the movie is set away from the Big apple the city is never forgotten by the main characters.
Speaking to ContactMusic she said: "New York is so much, for me when I think about it, I think about everything that these characters are reflecting upon when they're in this really grand, wonderful, faraway place is New York is a heartbeat away the whole movie.
"Everything that Carrie is thinking about is back in New York. Her past, her future, her present and her point of reference continues to be New York.
"So, while they have the great escape, it's New York that is really framing the question and to me I never feel far away from it."
Sex and the City 2 is the eighth time that Parker as taken on the character of Bradshaw after playing for six series and enjoying big box office success with the debut movie two years ago.
However the second film, which was released last week, has not faired so well with the critics and missed out on the top spot at the U.S. box office.
