Sandra Bullock describes herself as 'blessed' to work alongside Thomas Horn in new movie Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close.
The pair play mother and son in the emotional drama, in which Horn makes his big screen debut playing Oskar.
Directed by Stephen Daldry the movie follows a young boy as he searches for the lock to go with the key his father gave him before he was killed during September 11th.
And Bullock had nothing but praise for her young co-star.
Speaking to Access Hollywood the actress said: "It was like going through a mini emotional war together. I couldn't have asked for a better partner.
"You don't often get great partners and I was blessed with him - so blessed."
The movie also stars Tom Hanks and is an adaptation of the Jonathan Safran Foer novel.
The film is the first project back for Bullock since she won the Best Actress Oscar for The Blind Side.
Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close is released 3rd February.
