Sam Worthington has admitted that he struggled to get the accent for his new movie The Debt.
Worthington plays a government agent in the movie who is sent on a secret mission in the 1960's. But the German accent that was required for the role was one of the most challenging aspects of the film for the Avatar star.
Speaking to MTV News the actor said: "I find them always hard, it's like a costume.
"But to learn German on top of an Israeli lilt thrown on top of an Australian accent with a guy who's not very good at accents anyway, it was doubly hard.
"You just put in the effort, and Jessica Chastain is great at accents - she kind of helped me through it."
And the actor admits that the accent didn't stick: "No, I drop accents. The character traits I keep and the emotions I keep, but the accents and the costume I don't take home."
We are going to be seeing plenty of Worthington on the big screen over the coming months with Mon on Ledge and Texas Killing Fields in the pipeline.
He has also completed work on Clash of the Titans 2, where he will reprise the role of Perseus.
The Debt is released 30th September.
