Sam Worthington has revealed that he was comfortable wearing a skirt for his new movie The Clash of the Titans.
The Australian takes on the role of Perseus in the remake if the 1981 movie, this time around it has Louis Leterrier in the director's chair.
And he admits that he wasn't bothered by the style of his costume because he had seen so many of his fellow countrymen wearing a similar thing.
In an interview with Contactmusic the actor said: "The upside is that it's very well ventilated.
"Look, Russell Crowe wore one for 'Gladiator', Eric Bana wore one for 'Troy', Mel Gibson wore one for 'Braveheart'.
"I think it was the next logical step in my career. I think it's something every young Australian actor has to do, isn't it? You earn your chops for putting on the dress."
Worthington is having a very successful few months, after Avatar became the biggest grossing movie of all time.
And that success looks set to continue as he is currently filming The Tourist with Johnny Depp and Angelina Jolie.
Clash of the Titans is released 2nd April.
