Ryan Reynolds has revealed that he has not idea if he will be appearing in a second Green Lantern movie.
Despite the poor box office performance from the comic book movie it was revealed earlier this week that a sequel was in the pipeline.
And while a second film may go ahead Reynolds admits that he has so far not been contacted about reprising the role of Hal Jordan.
Speaking to MTV the actor said: "I have no idea, that's not up to me. I don't write those checks. And if I did I certainly wouldn't be standing on a red carpet, I would be sunning myself somewhere."
Green Lantern was unable to compete with the Marvel Comic projects this summer as the film the film has taken just $154 million, less than the budget, as well as struggling with the critics.
Reynolds swaps comic book movie for comedy later this year with The Change Up - which sees him team up with Jason Bateman.
The actor also has plenty of projects in the pipeline with Safe House and The Croods completed and Deadpool and R.I.P.D waiting to go into production.
