Ryan Reynolds has called his latest movie Green Lantern 'breathtaking.'
The actor is back on the big screen this summer as he brings the DC Comic character Hal Jordan to the big screen.
Reynolds saw footage from the movie for the first time at WonderCon in California and admits that he blow away by what he saw.
Speaking to MTV News the actor said: "The first time I saw it was just breathtaking. I think the first time it hit me that we really did it right was in WonderCon.
"I'd been shooting in Africa at the time, so I flew back just to be there, and I was exhausted and they put up this 10 or 11 minutes of footage, and you could feel it going like a wave through the audience."
"For me, going into it, my expectations were really just to learn - not just about the character but about filmmaking like that.
"I was just so blown away to see what they accomplished juxtaposed with what they shot."
Green Lantern is the first blockbuster lead for the actor - and that looks set to continue with Deadpool in the pipeline.
Green Lantern is released 17th June.
