Ryan Reynolds has insisted that a Deadpool movie will go ahead.
The actor took on the role in X-Men Origins: Wolverine back in 2009 and there has been talk of a solo movie ever since.
And while Reynolds has gone on to star in Green Lantern, which is released this summer, he says that Deadpool is still on the cards and he is committed to both movies.
Speaking to Empire the actor said: "That's still in the works. I'm not sure how logistically it works in terms of scheduling, but yeah, I want it to happen."
"Those two universes are completely different. Superhero movies are so pervasive in pop culture, I don't look at them as superhero roles as much as just roles.
"They're such different people. Deadpool is about a guy in a highly militarised shame spiral, Green Lantern is more universally themed."
The part of Hal Jordan in Green Lantern, which is directed by Martin Campbell, is Reynolds' first lead role in a big action blockbuster.
Green Lantern is released 17th June.
