Ryan Reynolds has hinted that Deadpool will be a dark project calling it a 'nasty piece of work'.

The actor will be reprising the role of Wade Wilson, aka Deadpool, a character that we first saw in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.

Speaking to Total Film the actor said: "The script is going to be a little harder [than the comics]. The script right now is walking a tightrope between [PG-13] and an R rating."

"The fourth wall is broken many times in the movie - and it's important that we do so. I can't emphasise enough how closely the tone of the comic is being followed in the film script.

"But it's a nasty piece of work and that's what's important."

Deadpool will be just the latest blockbuster role for the actor who has already completed work on Green Lantern, which is due out next year.
