Ryan Reynolds has revealed that he is happy to star in two competing superhero movies.
The actor has already completed work on the big screen adaptation of DC Comic's Green Lantern, which also stars Blake Lively and will be released next year, but he has also been linked to a Deadpool spin off.
Deadpool is part of the Marvel Comic family and he played the role for the first time in X-Men Origins: Wolverine last year.
But despite being linked to the Deadpool movie Reynolds admits that the project is still not 100% certain.
Speaking to the Associated Press the actor said: "I don't want to put the cart before the horse. I don't have two superhero franchises. If the pieces fit together [for a Deadpool movie] in the right way, then I'm there."
"It's certainly something I'm passionate about, because I've known it for so long, and I know the mythology so well.
"It's a great character. He's a true anti-hero, and that's why I like him."
"It's a real classic kind of guy. It's the guy who can throw a punch, kiss the girl and tell a joke. That's something I'd love to see on screen again, and I hoped it's embraced for that kind of spirit," he said.
"You can't be intermittently clenching your jaw muscles in place of emotion. You've got to be having a little fun with it too."
But he leaves all of the big budget blockbusters behind for his next movie, which is released next week, as he stars in Buried.
