Russell Crowe is not dead.
New York City radio station Z100 reported the Robin Hood star had passed away on Thursday morning (10Jun10), prompting a flurry of internet and radio reports speculating about the story.
But a spokesperson for the 46-year-old actor has acted quickly to dismiss the sick rumour.
Crowe is the latest in a string of stars who have fallen victim to similar reports - the most recent being Zach Braff, Johnny Depp, Billy Cosby and Kanye West.
The Gladiator star is currently enjoying box office success with his latest movie Robin Hood, which sees him work with his old pal Ridley Scott.
It's the fifth project between the pair which sees then explore how Hood became the legend that we all know.
Robin Hood is the first movie for the actor since leading an all star cast last summer in State of Play. He has already filmed The Next Three Days, in which he stars with Elizabeth Banks, which is due out next year.
