Russell Crowe has revealed that his sons were not impressed with his new movie Robin Hood.
The Oscar winning actor, who takes on the role of Hood in Ridley Scott's re-telling of the classic tale, took his two sons to a special screening of the movie.
Speaking to Contactmusic the actor said: He said: "I thought, I'll take them to this as the first one of my films they'll see.
"They were so excited, and they got to the screening room and were going crazy. Five minutes into the film, my oldest boy, Charlie, is like, 'Oh dad, can we go home now?' And my little one keeps calling out, 'Dad, when are you going to get a horse?'
"After an amount of time, I got the horse, and my little one goes, 'Oh good, dad, you got the horse. Can we go home now?
"I just take it as one of those humbling moments you deal with all the time as a parent."
Robin Hood is the fifth collaboration between Crowe and Scott, starting with Gladiator back in 2000, and also sees Cate Blachett and Mark Stone on the cast list.
Robin Hood is released 12th May.
