Russell Crowe has revealed that he is not interested in starring in a superhero or cartoon movie.
The actor is back on the big screen in the new year in his new movie The Next Three Days, which sees him work with filmmaker Paul Haggis.
But Crowe suggests that the movie industry has been become flooded with superhero/comic films, which is something that he is not interested in .
When asked by the BBC if he was flooded by movie offers the actor said: "Man, it's like the needle in the haystack.
"The business itself is shaping itself around event films, which are quite often cartoons or superheroes, and it's just not my thing. You just have to be patient."
Crowe has enjoyed box office success this summer when he took on the role of Robin Longstride in a new adaptation of Robin Hood, which was directed by Ridley Scott.
The actor has also been linked to Westworld.
