Russell Brand has called it an 'honour' to star in the remake of Arthur.
The actor reveals that the Dudley Moore classic was one of his favourite movies growing up and was keen to be involved.
Speaking to the Chicago Tribune the actor said: "It's too late for me to avoid Dudley Moore. I grew up ten minutes away from where Dudley Moore was from.
"Arthur was one of my favourite movies as a kid, so when I was offered to play the part that made Dudley Moore a star, I was truly honoured.
"I watched it again to refresh myself on it and also because I don't drink anymore - I haven't had a drink in eight years."
Directed by Jason Winer the funnyman leads an all star cast that includes Helen Mirren, Jennifer Garner and Greta Gerwig.
Arthur is released 22nd April.
