Rupert Grint believes that it is the right time to bring Harry Potter to an end.
The actor has reprised the role of Ron Weasly in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1, part 2 brings the series to a close next summer.
Grint has played the character of Ron for the last decade and admits that he is now looking forward to taking on new challenges.
Speaking to People the actor said: "In terms of filming, yes it really does feel over now. There's a real sense of freedom now, it's a good time to finish I think.
"As much as I'm going to miss it I'm ready to move on and do different things.
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 1 only opened on Friday and has already grossed in excess of $330 million at the global box office.
No Harry Potter movie has yet broke the $1 billion barrier but Deathly Hallows - Part 1 could achieve that feat.
And Grint already has a new project in the pipeline as he is set to play Eddie 'The Eagle' Edwards in a biopic about the British ski jumper.
