Rupert Grint believes that he missed out on some of his childhood becasue he worked on the Harry Potter movies.

Grint was just fourteen when he shot to fame playing Ron Weasley in Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stoneand while he admits he doesn't regret his decision he feels that he may have missed out.

Speaking to The Daily Express the actor said: I don't regret it but I've missed out on a lot of things. It's quite scary now Harry Potter has finished and we're out in the real world.

"The last day [of shooting] was emotional. I wasn't prepared for the tears! In the dressing rooms, we used to play table tennis and write on the walls."

We will sees Grint play Ron for the last time next summer when the Potter series comes to a close with Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The movie is to be split in two, the first part hitting cinema screens in November.

Away from Potter the young actor has also starred in Cherrybomb and Wild Target this year, the latte seeing him work with Emily Blunt and Bill Nighy.

But he is all set to take on the role of Eddie 'The Eagle' Edwards in a new movie Eddie The Eagle.
