Rosie Huntington-Whiteley has admitted that she is glad that she had early career struggles as it has helped her appreciate and put into perspective the success that she has now.
The model will make her big screen debut this summer as she teams up with Shia LaBeouf in Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon.
She replaces Megan Fox as the female lead in the highly successful franchise - which sees Michael Bay return to the director's chair for this third movie.
Speaking to Complex Magazine the actress said: "I've had nine years of working before this kind of movie happened to me.
"I'm really glad I've had struggles in my career. When success finally hits you, it helps put things in perspective.
"We're so small. You see these kids get success straight away or they grew up with it, and I feel for them, 'cos how do they gauge any sense of reality?"
"I come from a farm in the middle of nowhere in England. You have to remember where you come from and who you are."
Transformers: Dark Side of the Moon is released 1st July.
