Rosamund Pike admits that she hates being defined by her movie roles.
The actress is back on the big screen this week with her new movie Made In Dagenham and but she reveals that she hates people making judgements about her.
Speaking to The Times she said: "Why are people so f**king misguided? Is it because I don't fit in a bracket? Is that the problem? I don't actually fit into anything.
"Instead, I'm someone who analyses everything and observes people closely, because that's my job. And when people don't afford me the same courtesy that p*sses me off."
And Pike admits that she identified with her Made In dagenham character Lisa Hopkins, becasue she too is a woman who is scrutinised.
"I identify with Lisa. And when she asks [Sally Hawkins's character] Rita, 'Do you know who I actually am?' that's a question to which I feel really connected."
Made In Dagenham is directed by Nigle Cole and boasts an all star british cast of Sally Hawkins, Bob Hoskins and Miranda Richardson.
Pike will star alongside Dustin Hoffman later this year in Barney's Version and has just been cast in Johnny English Reborn.
Made In Dagenham is released 1st October.
