Ron Howard

Ron Howard has admitted that he has no plans on turning his back on filmmaking.

Howard is currently enjoying success at the box office with Angels & Demons, his second Dan Brown adaptation after The Da Vinci Code.

Despite mixed reviews from the critics Angels & Demons, which sees Tom Hanks return to the role of Robert Langdon, topped the American and UK box office.

In an interview with AARP The Magazine the filmmaker said: "I want to do this until I drop."

"When John Huston was directing his last movie, he was in a wheelchair and on oxygen. That's my idea of a good goal."

"At the end of my life, I'd rather have made another film or spent time with my family."

Howard kicked off his career as an actor before moving behind the camera and making his directorial debut in 1977 with Grand Theft Auto.

He won his only Best Director Oscar back in 2002 for A Beautiful Mind. Howard has a string of projects in the pipeline including The Emperor's Children and Arrested Development.
