007 actor Roger Moore has been recognised with a star on the Walk of Fame in Hollywood.The actor, who turns eighty this weekend, took up the role of the world's most famous spy in 1973 in Live and Let Die.He went on to play James Bond for twelve years appearing in seven films including The Man With The Golden Gun, The Spy Who Loved Me and Moonraker.Actor, and co-star, Richard Kiel, Bond's nemesis Jaws, was also present at the ceremony. And Stefanie Powers and David Hedison were the guest speakers.Joining Moore in Hollywood to celebrate his achievement was his wife Kristina and their three children Deborah,Geoffrey and Christian.Moore also went on to more famous roles in particular as Simon Templar in The Saint and as Lord Brett Sinclair in The Persuaders.Moore is now a Goodwill Ambassador with UNICEF and received a knighthood in 2003 in recognition of his work. He becomes only the second 007 actor to be honoured with a Walk of Fame star, the other being Pierce Brosnan.Helen Earnshaw
