Robert Pattinson admits that he was shocked by the level of attention he received whilst filming his new movie Remember Me.
The actor starred as Tyler Hawkins in Allen Coulter's romance/drama that was shot in New York.
But throughout the shoot the Twilight star was followed by paparazzi and fans who all wanted to catch a glimpse of the actor.
Speaking to Contactmusic Pattinson said: "I don't know why I didn't see it coming. I really thought it was just going to be a tiny little film, shot in New York and I'd be able to just hang out. Some days it just went completely mad, but you can't do anything.
"I remember one day we were filming by NYU, and there was a bunch of paparazzi on the other side of the street.
"It was in the middle of the scene and they were going 'Look up, look up!' as we were shooting. And when you don't look up, they go 'What? Do you think you're acting or something?'"
The movie also stars Emilie De Ravin and Pierce Brosnan and follows two new lovers: Tyler, whose parents have split in the wake of his brother's suicide, and Ally, who lives each day to the fullest since witnessing her mother's murder.
Remember Me is released 2nd April.
