Robert Rodriguez is already singing the praises of the Deadpool script, despite not yet being attached to direct the movie.
Deadpool is another X-Men spin off movie and will see Ryan Reynolds reprise the title character which we were introduced to in X-Men Origins: Wolverine last year.
The script has been penned by Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick, the guys that brought us Zombieland, and speaking to the Los Angeles Times Rodriguez said:"It's a great script and a great property."
However on whether he would direct the movie the filmmaker remained coy saying: "I'm just working everything out."
It seems that Rodriguez has a dilemma over which project to direct next, with Deadpool being one of his options. Also on the cards for the filmmakers is a long awaited Sin City 2 movie, which is a project that has been in the pipeline for some time, as well as thriller Nervecracker.
Rodriguez is still in negotiations with Fox over the role as director on Deadpool.
We haven't seen Rodriguez in the director's chair since Shorts in 2009 but his new movie Machete, which brings together a great cast of Robert De Niro, Jessica Alba, Danny Trejo, Lindsay Lohan and Michelle Rodriguez, is due for release later this year.
