Robert Pattinson has revealed that Reese Witherspoon is 'a lot bawdier' than he expected.
The pair team up for new movie Water For Elephants, which also stars Oscar winner Christoph Waltz, and Pattinson was shocked by how tough she was.
Speaking to Vogue the actor said: "In terms of public perception, she's thought of as America's Sweetheart. She kind of is in a lot of ways."
"I think that she's a lot bawdier than that, a lot more raucous. It did actually shock me to see that. She's tough. You wouldn't want to get into an argument with her at all.
"You can always tell that she will be incredibly nice to anyone who's not an idiot, but it's always very clear that there's a line you really shouldn't cross."
Pattinson leaves behind the character of Edward Cullen, for now, to take on this latest role but will be returning to the Twilight Saga later this year with Breaking Dawn: Part 1.
Water For Elephants is released 4th May.
