Robert Pattinson has described fame as a 'handicap'.
The actor burst onto the screen as Edward Cullen in Twilight, a role he is set to reprise at the end of the year, but Pattinson is not interested in the fame that comes with success.
Talking to Style magazine he said: "I came to a point where I said: I'm going to be a professional actor, looking for the origins of my characters, making something real out of this ephemeral job.
"This will allow me to live the life I want to live, to be active in green politics, to be a citizen of the world."
"Fame is [a] handicap, not a privilege, it often complicates things.
"I try to not fall in the web of top class hotels, first-class flights, designers sending you tons of stuff, thousands of girls everywhere."
Water For Elephants is the next chance to see Pattinson on the big screen as he teams up with Oscar winners Reese Witherspoon and Christoph Waltz in the adaptation of the Sara Gruen novel.
But the world is set to fo Cullen crazy once again as Breaking Dawn- Part 1 will hit cinemas in November, the second part following twelve months later.
