Robert De Niro and Edward Norton will share the big screen for the first time in nine years after teaming up to co-star in a new independent thriller.
The actors, who worked together in 2001 crime drama The Score, alongside Marlon Brando, are set to co-star star in psychological thriller Stone.
De Niro will play a correctional officer who is seduced by the wife of Norton's character, a convicted arsonist up for parole, reports Variety.
The film is scheduled for release in 2010.
The film will also see Norton reunite with The Paited Veil filmmaker John Curran who will direct the project and Junebug scriptwriter Angus MacLachlan has penned the script.
Stone will also be the debut movie from production company Mimran Schur Pictures, which was set up earlier this year.
Away from Stone Edward norton will also star in Leaves of Grass later this year alongside Richard Dreyfuss, Susan Sarandon.
Robert De Niro is going to be a busy man with no fewer eight movies scheduled over the next couple of years, including reprising the role of Jack Tiberius Byrnes in Little Fockers, filming begins this summer.
