Ridley Scott tackles the 3D movie for the first time this summer with Prometheus but the director insists that shooting in 3D is 'dead simple'.
Press were treated to 15 minutes of footage from Prometheus in a private screening yesterday, the movie looks awesome by the way, before a Q&A with the director and the stars of the movie.
Talking about 3D in the Q&A Scott admits he didn't know what all the fuss was about when it comes to filming this way.
"It's not brain surgery," he said. "It's pretty straight forward. Anybody who says it's going to add six weeks, they don't know what they're doing."
Scott teamed up with cinematographer Darius Wolski, who had worked with 3D before on Pirates of the Caribbean - On Stranger Tides.
[He's a] wonderful cameraman," Scott we on to say. "And we used Red cameras, so the quality is superb."
Prometheus sees Scott return to sacrifice for the first time since Blade Runner and the movie was inspired by unanswered questions Scott had about the Alien franchise.
Prometheus is released 1st June
