Ridley Scott has hinted that his new Alien movie will be both 'tough' and 'nasty'.
The director has returned to one of his movie successes, we all remember Alien of 1979, and had has developed a prequel to that movie that will explore some backstory.
Speaking to Virgin Media the filmmaker said: "The film will be really tough, really nasty. It's the dark side of the moon.
"We are talking about gods and engineers. Engineers of space. And were the aliens designed as a form of biological warfare? Or biology that would go in and clean up a planet?"
"Jim's raised the bar and I've got to jump to it," Scott stated. "He's not going to get away with it."
No cast has yet been announced for the movie had the project is still in the pre-production stage but Scott is all set to direct as well as produce the project.
The filmmaker has already enjoyed box office success this summer as he reunited with Russell Crowe for his take on Robin Hood.
The movie was set during and just after the Crusades as Scott brought an original story to the big screen.
