Rhys Ifans says that he is really proud of the The Amazing Spider Man.
The Brit actor joins Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone on the cast list for Marc Webb's reboot of the franchise - which is due out next year.
Ifans is set to take on the role of Dr Curt Connors in the movie and he is excited about it's release.
Speaking to Movieline the actor said: "I'm really proud of it. I haven't seen it yet, obviously.
"Of course it's a huge franchise with a massive budget, but essentially for me it was a kind of father-son story and emotionally very domestic.
"But in terms of the whole publicity machine and all that, I'm kind of excited."
But before we see him in Spider Man the actor is back on the big screen this week in Roland Emmerich's new project Anonymous.
The Amazing Spider Man is released 3rd July.
