Rhys Ifans was so thrilled with the final edit of upcoming film Mr Nice, he broke down in tears at the screening.
Ifans plays Howard Marks in the movie - a part close to the star's heart because of his longstanding friendship with the notorious drug smuggler.
And the Notting Hill actor admits seeing the finished film was an emotional experience for him and his pal.
He tells Britain's Glamour magazine, "We saw the film for the first time together and held hands all the way through. At the end we both wept like little girls. It was really moving."
This is the third film of the year for the actor, starring in Greenberg and Nanny McPhee and the Big Bang, but the work for the actor continues to flow in.
He has already completed filming on Passion Play and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows but he is currently filming TV movie Neverland.
Mr Nice is released 8th October.
