Rachel McAdams has denied rumours that she is to appear in Spider Man 4.
The actress has been linked to the role of Felicia Hardy, an ex-girlfriend of Peter Parker in the fourth movie in the franchise.
In an interview with Entertainment Weekly the actress said: "That's a total rumour, I have to say.
"I was hanging out in Toronto the other day and someone came up to me and said, 'I just heard you're doing Spider-Man 4'. And I said, 'Really? No-one told me!' It's not true."
Spider Man 4 is expected to reach cinemas in 2011 and will end a four year hiatus for the franchise.
It's been a good year for Rachel McAdams finding success with State of Play and The Time Traveler's Wife.
State of Play teamed her up with Russell Crowe. Helen Mirren and Ben Affleck and was an adaptation of a hit BBC TV show.
The Time Traveler's Wife saw her join forces with Eric Bana for the big screen version of Audrey Niffenegger's popular novel.
She is back on the big screen this Christmas in Sherlock Holmes with Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law.
