Rachel McAdams loved being sixteen again in her new movie The Time Traveler's Wife.
The actress took on the role of Clare Abshire in the big screen adaptation of Audrey Niffenegger's debut novel.
The film follows a Chicago librarian with a gene that causes him to involuntarily time travel, and the complications it creates for his marriage.
Talking about the movie to PA she said: "It was fun to be 16 again! We spent a lot of time talking about the hair, the clothes, and the make-up.
"I worked with such amazingly talented people that just a brush stroke would change my face a little bit.
"I looked at myself in the mirror one day and I didn't really realise we were doing the older Clare that day and I said 'Oh, I'm looking a little haggard', before being told it was paint."
And it's been a busy 2009 for the thirty year old actress after finding box office success earlier this year with State of Play with Russell Crowe and Helen Mirren.
She will return to the big screen at the end of the year when she stars alongside Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law in Guy Ritchie's version of Sherlock Holmes.
The Time Traveler's Wife is released 14th August.
