Bill Nighy Warms To Pirate Villain.... Pirates Of The Caribbean star Bill Nighy has warmed to playing octopus-faced villain Davy Jones after initially feeling the character was a "clown".The British actor admits he's quite fond of his over-the-top pirate character, and hopes there are more Pirates Of The Caribbean films.He says, "Once I got over the idea that I had to walk around in pyjamas, looking like a sad clown... and they ran out of jokes, you kind of get into it."It's kind of liberating; you can act at a level that you wouldn't get away with under normal circumstances, so you pitch the performance at a kind of reckless level."Meanwhile fellow Pirates star veteran rocker Keith Richards missed his cameo in Pirates Of The Caribbean: At World'S End, because he fell asleep during the screening.The hard-partying guitarist, 63, has a brief appearance in the Disney movie alongside star Johnny Depp, who based his Captain Jack Sparrow character on Richards.Richards says, "I did fall asleep, but I'd been up for three days."
