Penelope Cruz is plagued with insecurity and fears she'll be fired from every movie she makes.
The actress admits she makes herself miserable stressing and worrying about every project she takes on - even after she scooped the Best Supporting Actress Oscar earlier this year (09) for her role in Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
Cruz says, "Every time I make a film, I feel like it's my first time... I always think they could fire me.
"I've ruined my own happiness and created problems with my friends because of this tendency. It takes discipline for me to stop worrying."
Since her breakthrough in Jamon Jamon in 1992 the actress has juggled Spanish speaking movies along with Hollywood pictures.
2006's Volver really marked her arrival in Hollywood as she was nominated for Best Actress at the Oscars, losing out to Helen Mirren.
She only had to wait two years before she was nominated again, this time for Best Supporting Actress, for her role in Woody Allen's Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
This time she walked away with the gong dominated the awards curcuit also picking up Bafta, Independent Spirit Award and being nominated for a Golden Globe and a Screen Actors Guild Award.
She will return to the big screen later this year as she reunites with Volver filmmaker Pedro Almodóvar for Broken Embraces.
