Oz The Great And Powerful is set to light up the big screen next year as an origins story will set the foundations for the movies that we already know so well.
Sam Raimi is back in the director's chair for the first time since Drag Me To Hell and this movie sees him tackle a different genre.

The cast list is lead by Oscar nominated actor James Franco as he take on the role of musician Oscar Diggs- who finds himself in the Land of Oz.
Joining Franco on the cast list is Mila Kunis, Rachel Weisz and Michelle Williams, who play three witches in the movie.
Oz The Great and Powerful bring to life L.Frank Baum's much loved characters like we have never seen them before.
When Oscar Diggs (Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he’s hit the jackpot -fame and fortune are his for the taking - that is until he meets three witches, Theodora (Kunis), Evanora (Weisz) and Glinda (Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone’s been expecting.
Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late.
Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity - and even a bit of wizardry - Oscar transforms himself not only into the great and powerful Wizard of Oz but into a better man as well.
