Orlando Bloom has revealed that he would like to take on more villain roles.
The actor is back on the big screen later this year as he takes on the part of The Duke of Buckingham in The Three Musketeers.
The Three Musketeers is a new adaptation of the popular tale which boasts an all star cast of Logan Lerman, Luke Evans and Christoph Waltz.
But the role is a departure for the British actor and he admits that he enjoyed playing the bad guy.
Speaking to The Daily Record the actor said: "Bad guys definitely have the fun and I want to do more of that.
"The Duke of Buckingham is more of a petulant child than a swashbuckler but it was a lot of fun as it was a really different kind of character to play."
The Good Doctor is Bloom's next project and he admits that that too is a little different to the movies that he has starred in in the past.
"The Good Doctor is a bit of a departure, too. I'm stepping out of what people might imagine me to be and it's challenging as it's a really dark little movie," he added.
"You wouldn't want to go and see him. But it's interesting as it's a real character-driven piece, very much about the human condition."
The Three Musketeers is released 12th October.
